Easily install the LARQ Under Sink Water Filter system in a few easy steps! All you need to get started is an adjustable wrench, bucket, and towel.
- Turn off the cold water valve under your sink. Then, pull the used filter cartridge straight out of the filter head. No tools needed. (This may require some effort to remove.)
- Align the new cartridge with the filter head and push it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Turn the cold water supply back on and let the tap run for 1–2 minutes to prime the new filter. Now, you're ready to go!
Troubleshooting: If you're struggling to pull out the filter cartridge, you may need extra grip. Try using rubber-coated gardening gloves or cleaning gloves for easier handling.
Nope! This is designed for easy DIY installation with no professional help required. The only tools you will need are an adjustable wrench, towel, and bucket.

No, the LARQ Under Sink Water Filter system filters all the cold water as it flows through your tap, and cannot be turned off. This does mean you can still wash your dishes with hot or warm water to avoid using as much of the filter's capacity. However, the filter’s lifespan is rated for up to 6 months of usage with everyday usage already taken into account, including handwashing dishes in the sink, washing hands, washing produce, cooking, and drinking. With the filter capacity of 1,453 gallons (5,500 liters) you would have around 8 gallons (30 liters) each day for 6 months. Even if you are very thirsty, this leaves plenty of capacity for filtration.
