The filters are independently tested to NSF/ANSI 42 (chlorine, taste), 53 (lead, PFAS, and other health contaminants), and 401 (pharmaceuticals and emerging contaminants).
2.5 liters — 10 cups. That’s over 25% more than the original LARQ Pitcher, yet still compact enough for the fridge.
Amalfi Blue, Mojave Dune, and Eucalyptus Green — a colored lid, hopper, and handle over a clear body.
BPA-free, premium-grade plastic. The filter media is plant-based carbon.
The pitcher is made in the USA. Our filters are manufactured overseas and independently tested to NSF/ANSI standards 42, 53, and 401.
The same filtration you trust, in a fresh design: a translucent body with three new colors — Amalfi Blue, Mojave Dune, and Eucalyptus Green — at a lower price. Pitcher 2 uses the Advanced Pitcher Filter (the same filter that fits our other pitchers), so replacements are easy to find
Four steps, about 10 minutes:
- Wash the pitcher.
- Soak the new filter in water for 10 minutes.
- Install the filter into the top of the pitcher until it snaps into place.
- Fill with tap water, pour out the first batch, and you're ready.
You might see harmless black dust in the first fill — that's carbon from the plant-based filter media. One rinse batch clears it.
The LARQ Pitcher 2 is designed for treated (municipal) tap water. It isn't rated for untreated well water — if your water comes from a private well, have it tested and treated before filtering.
No — cold or room-temperature still water only (max 40°C / 104°F).
It reduces some calcium and magnesium, but it's not a water softener — extremely hard water is beyond its job description. It's not rated for fluoride reduction, and it doesn't change your water's pH.
Soak the new filter for 10 minutes, snap it into the top of the pitcher, fill, and pour out the first batch. Same as day one.

No. An expired LARQ filter simply stops reducing contaminants — it won't release what it's captured. Still, replace on schedule for water that's actually filtered.
